HRYS Rogue, formerly Glory, offers a great opportunity for youth softball players to   enjoy the full experience of competitive travel softball while   representing HRYS in local double-header games, regional and national fastpitch tournaments, and college showcase events.

Our players work hard, striving to be amazing athletes and   outstanding role models in the community.

The Rogue experience prepares every player in our program to compete at their full potential, positioning them for success at the High School and Collegiate levels.

What can I expect at tryouts and what are coaches looking for?

• ​Objective assessment of skills ranging from speed, overhand throwing velocity, throwing accuracy, batting and fielding mechanics

What is a typical annual budget?

• Most team budgets will range from $1,000 - $1,500, typically paid in increments throught the season.

What is a typical practice schedule?

• Fall season runs late August through Mid-November.  2 practices per week
• Winter conditioning Jan - mid-Feb - 2 days p/week
• Spring - 2 days p/week (18U off - players expected to participate for respective HS teams)
• Summer - Memorial Day through end of July - 2 practices p/week

What is a typical tournament schedule?

• Roughly 5 tournaments in the fall, with doubleheaders on most non-tournament weekends.
• Mainly local tournaments in Loudoun county - likely one out of town tournament in MD, DE, southern VA or PA
• Roughly 5 tournaments in the summer, local Loudoun county, MD, southern VA and PA
