Showcase Glory
This program is designed for high
school Junior and Senior softball
players in the HRYS league and the
surrounding communities who wish to
participate in softball college
showcase tournaments. Showcase
Glory is for softball players who are
interested in exposure to
college/university softball programs
and coaches during their last two
years of high school. Players will
develop an on-line Player Profile and
Skill's DVD.

Summer Glory
From the house league season, HRYS
All-Star Summer Glory teams are
selected and play in the annual
tournament trail from June through
August. Our All-Star Summer Glory
teams participate in Babe Ruth District
competitions with winners advancing
to the State and Regional levels.
HRYS All-Star Summer Glory teams
also compete in 4-5 highly competitive
softball tournaments and in a summer
all-star league.

Herndon Optimist Youth Softball and
Reston Youth Softball are now
playing as a merged organization
Herndon Reston Youth Softball
(HRYS)
HRYS is a girls' fastpitch softball
league serving players ages 6 to 18
in the greater Herndon-Reston,
Virginia area. Many of our girls go on
to play on their high school Varsity
and JV teams. Separate spring and
fall competive house seasons are
run with the objective of serving all
the girls of the community
regardless of skill level. A separate
summer-fall All-Stars/Travel program
provides those girls interested in
additional softball expereince a
chance to compete in tournaments
and the Babe Ruth Tournament trail.
HRYS is also an active member of
the Loudoun County Softball Alliance
(LCSA). LCSA is a coopertation
between local area softball leagues
bringing quality competitive softball
to our local communities.
HRYS is a Herndon Optimist
sponsored sport.

Our league is growing, but the number of volunteers is not!
The greatest gift that an adult can share with a child is the gift of time. Please register to
volunteer your time to support Herndon Reston Youth Softball. No previous experience
in any sport is required. Just a willingness to learn, or a willingness to share your time to
help administer our league as we develop really great girl softball players and athletes.
Your help is needed to run the Spring Softball program for your daughter. Select from
any of the following positions or suggest your own position.

Grades 9-12 Players
Important information for parents and players in grades 9-12
including freshmen who are still eligible to play 14U!
In order to play Summer Glory, players must register for a Spring Team.
If you are not playing high school ball please register for a Spring team. There will be competive
play with 6 area leagues and an interleague Championship tournament.

For those players on high school teams (Varsity or JV including freshmen) please register for a
Spring teams. These teams will not interfere with the high school Varisty or JV season and will
begin games after the highschool season has ended.

HRYS players and families are invited to watch the
Lady Patriots vs. Towson at 4pm at GMU
See former HHS Softball player #8 Katie Rynex
After the game stay for a picnic at the stadium with the players and coaches.
Raffle prizes to be awarded during game.
Details will be available from your coach during first week of practice.
