Jeff Dalling with his daughter Izzy
Jeff Dalling was a valued board member and coach as HRYS grew from infancy into the respected league it is today. He passed away tragically in 2008 from an aneurysm, leaving behind his wife Wanda, son Ben, and daughter Elizabeth, a veteran of both HRYS and Herndon High School softball. In Mr. Dalling’s memory, Herndon-Reston Youth Softball annually awards a $500 scholarship to a college-bound high school senior who has been a member of the league. Applications are now being accepted. Any interested high school senior should fill out the application and postmark it no later than Monday, March 25, 2013.
The Board Meeting has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 3 at 7 PM. The meeting will be held at the Herndon Police Station.
HRYS is a girls’ fastpitch softball league for greater Herndon and Reston. We conduct separate Spring and Fall seasons for all skill levels ages 6-18.
